Umbria is known as the heart of Italy, being both land-locked and in the middle of the country, in many ways it epitomizes Italian life.
Our tour starts in Perugia, one of the most attractive towns in northern Umbria and both in terms of its ambience and its architecture. We hike along rolling hills and dense forests and are awarded with stunning views of Assisi where we spend 2 nights. The tour continues along a trail that cuts through the Subasio Park and unfolds among olive groves before we reach Spello, a lovely village with cobbled streets, peaceful squares and dotted with many Roman monuments.
The week finishes on a high with spectacular walks to Bevagna where we make a loop trek to Montefalco and where you have the chance to sample wine in one of the areas best wineries, ensuring you do not miss the true Italian experience.
