Connemara famous for its rugged granite landscape as well
as numerous lakes and rivers. The scenery changes from dramatic
mountain ranges, woodlands and fjords to sweeping open bogland
and a rocky fractal coastline. Many of the inhabitants of
Connemara who are warm and friendly are still Gaelic (original
Irish language) speaking.
On self guided tour you start in the villege of Leenane from
where you will explore the only fjord in Ireland, then you
will follow the path to Kylemore along crystal clear lakes
with a chance to visit Kylemore Abbey, and at the end of the
tour you will stay on Aran Iislands before you head to Galway
- the buzzing fastest growing city in Ireland.
Guided tour is centered in the buzzing town of Westport in
Connemara.
